The 2022 return of Rocking The Daisies
With the world opening up again, it comes as no surprise that beloved festivals like Rocking The Daisies (SA) will return this spring!
After 2 years of COVID related cancellations, the festival will return to its Kloof Wine Estate venue in the Western Cape from 7 - 9 October. In addition, for the first time, RTD will host festival lovers for a 1-day festival in Johannesburg scheduled for October 9 at Supersport Park in Centurion.
Having begun rolling out the 2022 lineup, Blxckie, DBN Gogo, and Will Linley were some of the first acts announced. While the festival had previously accustomed RTD hopefuls to the announcement of a major international headliner, this year they opted to “lead with local” to prioritize South African talent before the announcement of international headliners. While it was met with criticisms, true to their intentions, they’ve since begun rolling out other headlining acts, such as Kehlani (USA), Clean Bandit (GB), Focalistic (SA), SIO (SA), and more.
With the announcement of the return of popular music festival, Steyn Entertainment further shared that Johnnie Walker would be the 2022 title sponsor. Of the alliance, General Manager of Steyn Entertainment, Shannon Valstar describes the partnership as, “seamless because of the mutual and storied commitment of both brands to developing, supporting and cultivating creativity through quality, multi-sensory experiences”. Other festival partners include H&M, Hallmark House, and more.
Tickets have already gone on sale with Phase 1 sold out and Phase 2 tickets set to release at the end of July. For more information, visit Rocking The Daisies (Online).
